In 2008 the DeSoto Suns Youth Sports Organization grew to 5 recreational teams, one 1st grade team, two 3rd Grade teams and two 4th grade teams. Recreational play culmenates with the Texas Amatuer Athletic Federation Tournament (TAAF). DSYSO finshed with 2 of the top 3, 8 & under recreational teams in the State of Texas. The 4th Grade Suns finished runner up in the Consolation Championship of TAAF.
Post TAAF, the DeSoto Suns transition to Texas Suns Sélect Teams preparing teams for AAU play and competition in the SWAAU District Qualifiers beginning the road to AAU Nationals...
